My I Garmim III does not. I've thought about an upgrade to Garmin V and wonder if it has this comment field? Quote Link to comment
+Brainerd Posted July 14, 2003 Share Posted July 14, 2003 I own a GPS V, and I like it a lot. It has a field called 'Description' or 'Waypoint Note'. When I download an EasyGPS file onto the V, the Waypoint is the Geocaching waypoint, and the Description Field contains title of the cache. To view the Description Field on the unit, you must select the Waypoint, press 'Menu' and then select 'Waypoint Note'. As far as I know, there is not a way to see a list of the Descriptions or Notes on the unit. This information is listed at the 'Description' on the City Select MapSource PC software that comes with the GPS V Deluxe package. Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.
