bluemountain
I am having trouble with lines showing up in the display of my Mag 315. Does anyone know what causes this and what can be done to correct it. Thanks Bluemountain Michael Jerrells Bluemountain Quote Link to comment
+phantom4099
Are the lines allways in there? Or do the only appear when your turning it on? Wyatt W. The probability of someone watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of your actions. Quote Link to comment
dave and jaime
check this link out. also i went to my local radio shack and tested several of the mags on the shelf (meridian and sporttrak) and got the lines on those units also. mag tech support has said it is caused by the power up sequence of the display. bluemountain
The line is right down the middle of the screen and stays on while the unit is on. I've had this unit for over a year and it just started doing this in the last week. I have used rechargable batteries in the unit but that may not have anything to do with it. thanks for the feedback. Michael Jerrells Bluemountain Quote Link to comment
peter
Some people have had lines appear on eTrex units as a result of bad contacts on the ribbon connector between the display and the main board. I've had the same problem on a PDA - the lines would come and go sometimes if I pressed on the case near the display. If you're comfortable with opening the unit it may help to reseat the ribbon cable. Quote Link to comment
dave and jaime
problem with open the case in a 300 series gpsp is that the case is chem welded, and to open it you have to break it apart and putting it back together maybe impossible. 'Get to the point---speak English!!!!' Quote Link to comment
