codetalker Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 I just got a eMap and was curious as to the various bike mounts available (I have a Bridgestone MTB). I know Garmin makes a unit specifically for the eMap (any feedback from those who own this?) but was wondering if there are any good "generic" mounts also available. Quote
Us 5 Camp Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 Try a ram-mount from tvnav or gpscity or ?? very veristile, tough, relatively inexpensive. I have one mount with with different bases I use in the car, canoe, bicycle for my 76s "Never have a philosophy which supports a lack of courage..." Quote
targetdrone Posted January 5, 2003 Posted January 5, 2003 How cheap are you trying to get??? The handlebar mount for the emap from garmin (click here) is only six bucks. I wouldnt want to risk a GPS unit for something that I wouldn't know would work on a handlebar. I used my Legend on the mountain bike today, and it is subject to quite a bit of shock. So much so that the batteries momentarily lost contact and the unit shut off.....twice. I left it off the second time. Of course, the e trex line has a problem with this.
