leatherman
Yellow/Black? Sounds like you might be refering to the Meridian Gold. http://joe.mehaffey.com/ This is a great review site. The Green and the Gold have, most of, the same features. The Green doesn't have the base map memory of the Gold. That's about it. georapper
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/field-keywords%3Dmagellan%20meridian%20gps%26index%3Delectronics%26field-product-group%3Dce%26search-type%3Dss/qid=1040841379/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4_etk-electronics_all/102-8841151-1789731 you will see there is a meridian gps and a meridian gps (yellow/black) that are about $30 price difference with not specifications attached. the yellow/black is not the gold because the gold is about $70 more than the yellow/black. so i am wondering is amazon playing a game on consumers to get more for the yellow/black meridian when it is identical to the meridian green, or is there a real hardware difference between the two gpsr's Quote Link to comment
leatherman
I have to agree with your assumption, that it is the Meridian Green. Same price and all. If you do not extend your expectations unto others, you will not be disappointed by the stupid things they do. Mokita! Quote Link to comment
Ttepee
I believe the yellow black and green are identical hardware wise... green being set up for USA and yellow black for Europe.... different basemap. Quote Link to comment
leatherman
WoW. If the Yellow/Black has a Europe base map, Amazons description Sucks. There is nothing listed that mentions that. I hope it's just an alternative color to the green. If you do not extend your expectations unto others, you will not be disappointed by the stupid things they do. Mokita! Quote Link to comment
Ttepee
I'm sorry I just looked back at my source and you are correct... it seems I didn't follow the thread long enough to get the correct answer to that question. Here is what someone got directly from Magellan: Magellan Website Contact Form The Yellow and Black unit is the same as the Brown and Green unit. The only difference is the color of the case. +slinger91
A yellow/black Meri at Big 5 Sporting goods here in Wa for $199 Plus $50 rebate plus mapsend streets. It seems to be every bit the same as merigreen, without the green. "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night." Quote Link to comment
