BassoonPilot Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 It's only circa 1999, so it's new compared to some of yours. I found around 200 caches using it before upgrading to a Vista. My daughter now uses the Maggie sometimes, and after using the Vista for a year, I can't believe I ever found anything with the Maggie. (Because it has terrible reception under even the lightest of tree cover, and because one spends so much time "doing the Hula Wave" to break averaging.) But the Maggie 300 still works great while flying. Actually, I prefer it over the Vista in the plane because of the sixfold battery life (and because the Airport & Facilities Directories only list coordinates to two decimal places, anyway.) Quote
dave and jaime Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 while current, the mag 315 was initially released in 1998, which was when i bought it, and has had upgrades in firmware only. oddly enough i found my first cache with v2.07 firmware and then upgraded to v3.15. Quote
