Mapsend ISSUES ????

I have been using the Mapsend St and Dest. Canada for a while it is copy righted 2002. Is there anywhere to update the data or is this the newest infomation ?

 

Is it possible to just put in a place name and for it to be found. I find that this cannot be done . even when you try to locate a place provincally . you seen to need an address to locate a town or village. If anyone knows how to just put in the town name ahd get its location could you let me know.

Well because some yahoo over in OZ decided to push into Magellan's face the cost of maps and GPS receivers, he also had included (in a heated moment) in his messages to them about the different websites that had both firmware and software updates. These sites have since received a letter from Magellan's legal department or face legal action to cease and desist and remove any and all proprietary updates and property considered intellectually theirs.

 

That being said;

 

I can't answer much about S&D but with Topo, I can search by address, by name, and by coordinates.

 

Doing a search by name, I'm given two columns to select from, by Location and by Group.

 

After selecting the location, I can then select POI, States, Cities, Major Roads, Major Hydrography, Major Parks, and Airports. I can also use a search string in this mode.

 

I would have to assume the tools should be the same for S&D.
