? - Importing Cache Points to Topo USA 4.0 (Delorme)

Recommended Posts

Has anyone imported cache points to this software before? *.dmt seems to be the only import mechanism for the software. I'm shoulder-looking at a friend's installation right now, so my information isn't great, but that's all we could find at first glace.

If nothing else you should be able to download the points to EasyGPS and upload them to your GPS. Then directly hook up your GPS to your PC and read or download the waypoints from the GPS directly into your Topo USA 4.0 software. Other than that there are a number of software solutions but they can be complex so that is probably the quickest and easiest way to have them plot in your DeLorme software.

I'm interested in all alternatives. Particularly ones that don't rely on a GPS to do it icon_smile.gif

The reason for this is that I'd like to share the information with my friend who doesn't have a GPS so he can do this as well. So any software method would be welcome discussion.

Excel, etc.

Email me several of these .dmt files and I'll see if I can incorporate it into Geobuddy. Can Topo USA import CSV files? If so, GeoBuddy can do the conversion.

However, the .dmt files are binary in nature. I checked prior to posting hoping the Geobuddy would come to my rescue again icon_smile.gif

Thanks a ton for the offer and for Geobuddy. It's definitely a cool tool.
