Guest dphilbin
Help.. On my Garmin 12 on the compass page my distance is in miles. I know how to set it to nautical miles or meters..but is it possible to set it to feet? If so how? Right now as I approach a cache I will read 0.02 mi..0.01 mi..0.0 mile.not great resolution! Sure be nice if It would read 500 ft..400ft..etc.. Help D.K. Philbin Donaldphilbin@hotmail.com Quote Link to comment
Guest badbitbucket
yeah, that's one of the top reasons I use metric. it's really easy to convert .02km to 20 meters. and it's easy to remember 1600km to a mile (approximately), a meter is a little longer than a yard, etc... to directly answer your question, no. I have a 12 myself and I can't find any way to change the precision of the display. -BBB Quote Link to comment
Guest dphilbin
Thanks for the idea. It makes a lot of sense. I have posted this question to the garmin websites technical section and I will let you know what I hear from them Quote Link to comment
Guest carrollj
I would also like to know if mile can be changed to feet. Please post your answer from Garmin. Thanks Jim Quote Link to comment
Guest dphilbin
I did hear from Garmin, This unit can not disply in feet! Just miles, statute mile and kilometers. I do like the suggestion that you set the unit in kilometers..0.01 km is better that 0.01 miles. D.K. Philbin Quote Link to comment
