Mac SimpleGPS 1.0b (beta)

 

Announcing the first public release of Mac SimpleGPS. A tool to manage waypoints on your GPSr. For Macintosh only.

 

Some of the features:

Mac OS X and Carbon (8.6+)

USB-to-Serial compatible (Keyspan serial adapters)

Garmin and Magellan compatible

Uses the industry standard .GPX file format

Imports .LOC, .GPX, and .XML waypoint files

Drag-and-drop files directly into list

This ROCKS.

 

So far, it isn't parsing out the .GPX description field (although it

does it correctly for .LOCs). I get the waypoint Names, coordinates,

etc. but no description or comment fields. I'm using the OS9 version.

 

Not a complaint, just a bug report--I understand that this is a first

beta.

Could you please send me the file. Also let me know the application that generated the GPX file so I can take a look. Should be easy enough to fix.
