KSJohn
Is it possible to get coordinates from the Mapquest maps. For example: High mountain lake in Colorado, find it on Mapquest, how do you get the coordinates for that lake? The reason I ask is last month on vacation I had a map that showed 4 lakes in a wilderness area. Decided to hike up to one of them. Got close coordinates off of map, put in GPS and away we went. There were supposed to be 2 lakes on the trail that we were on. The lower of the 2 was the target. Got close with GPS but no trail to this lake. Finally found what looked like deer trail. Took it and found lake. Was one of those cases if coordinates were available from Mapquest it would probably have been more accurate than taking off of map. TIA John Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
I know they can be retrieved from MapQuest, but I don't remember how. There have been a few recent threads related to this in the beginning or general forums. You probably can perform a quick search to find your answer. Quote Link to comment
JDMC
Well, I know you can get lat/lon from MapBlast. Just look at the area you're interested in (not aerial photo, though), and select print and select the type of printing. The lat/lon will be below the map. Quote Link to comment
KSJohn
Well I have searched and read thru the posts, but still no idea how to do what im after. May not be possible with Mapquest. The few I found asking about it, someone always came back with Mapblast answer. Quote Link to comment
