+BusBoy
I have a GPSMAP76s and I came across an external antenna that had a female (same a the GPS) MCX connector. I purchased a male connector on the net, snipped of the female connector and hooked up the male. Now when the antenna is pulgged in, I am unable to receive satellites. Any thoughts/suggestions? +GPS Guy
Use a meter on the 2 conductors of the connector. If you have no resistance, (a short) then retry attaching the cable to the connector. Be very careful to avoid any stray strands of wire going where they shouldn't. Quote Link to comment
+BusBoy
I ended up re-connecting everything and now it works like a charm. 10-15 feet of 3D Differential accuracy all the time!!! Quote Link to comment
