I have one for testing my GPS software. The main drawback is that it doesn't have a pixel-based screen - it uses LCD segments like a calculator. This means: no map page and no satellite page. The compass page only points you in one of eight (I think) directions.

 

There are some unique features of the MNS, like the ability to turn off the GPS part and just use the compass. Even when the MNS is turned off, it collects barometric data for weather forecasts.

 

My biased opinion:

I don't recommend the Brunton MNS. In my opinion, there are cheaper GPS receivers that do more, have better software support, and have an easier user interface.
