Map scanning software-who uses what?

I have a Gar. III+ and would like to scan some of my topo's. I am curious to see what software others are using. I've heard of OziExplorer and Fugawi. To pay $75 and $95 for a "shareware" style program seems a little high! What are some thoughts.

Ps. Does the Mapsource software import scanned topos?

Map source cannot use scanned topo maps. I have it and find it of little use.

Fugawi, although does the job, is not nearly as good as Ozi Explorer which is in the same price range.

Ozi Explorer is a quality and reliable peace of software. It's worth every penny.

Toura Tech QV (used to be called Quo Vadis) is actually the best bitmapped maps navigation software out there. It's the one I use. More feature than Ozi including a multi section user defined database for storing any number of waypoints, routes, tracks and drawings (A very useful feature but will take some time to explain). You can also get it with the Geographic Names Database. It's a list of waypoints of all landmarks in the world. http://www.ttqv.com

Hope this helps
