Guest Gliderguy
It appears that the Garmin waypoint upload/download bug has been fixed from version 1.30 you can get it at: www.jdmcox.com Quote Link to comment
Guest makaio
Either his site is down for maintenance, or his server can't handle the influx of hits he's getting after being 'groundspoken' (akin to slashdotted) here in these forums. Guess I'll try again later. Quote Link to comment
Guest Gliderguy
I have checked a few times since your post and I have gotten to his site from the link. Maybe some local congestion on your end. Quote Link to comment
Guest gnbrotz
Although this is a GREAT product, does anyone know of any FREE software that can do this with topo maps. I know that ExpertGPS can and my dream would be to have the MapTech software (if the budget would allow it). Hopefully I can find something free in the meantime. Quote Link to comment
Guest JDMC
There's a new program at http://jdmcox.com called Convert SDTS Data that allows you to see elevation data on USAPhotoMaps. Quote Link to comment
Guest redd
This is an amazing, amazing program! Many thanks to the author! I wanted to revive this thread so newbies could find it easier. Scott redd@interbug.com http://interbug.com/pigeon Quote Link to comment
Guest Gliderguy
As of yesterday USAPhotomaps was up to version 1.39. The author has added a way to impose topo map lines on it with an additional program also on his site. It works, but is still in a beta version. Not very user friendly to get going, but easy to use once you have downloaded and converted the appropriate data. Quote Link to comment
Guest vinced
quote:Originally posted by Gliderguy:As of yesterday USAPhotomaps was up to version 1.39. It's up to 1.40. Version 1.40 Sept 16, 2001 Changes max size of download row to 200 photos (limits use of memory for one row to 4,000,000 bytes, just in case you don't have as much memory as I do). So if you're downloading by lat/lon input, the leftmost 200 photos will be downloaded but those to the right of 200 won't (200 photos = 24.86 miles). Quote Link to comment
