Your thoughts on Magellan Sportrac Map

I have one. Not knowing your intended use, it's hard to say if it's right for you. As for it being hard to use, my boy's been able to use it (actuall its predecessor, the 330) since he was 5. Granted, he's not doing projections or entering coords for a multi, but he can flip between screens and do basic navigation with it.

As drtmn mentions, if you want more memory, the ST Map Pro would have been a better choice. The limited base map and available detail map upload size are the only compromises that come to mind with this unit - and those may or may not matter to you...

I bought one of the $69.00 (w/rebate) ST Maps from eFlyingJstore and it is great. Have had it about a month now and have found over 20 caches w/little problem. Just read the manual and play with the screens and you'll quickly get the hang of it. It also works great with the supplied data cable and the free EasyGPS software (download from geocache.com)--what a timesaver to not have to manually enter cache waypoints! I can usually get 3-5 sats while sitting in my living room and tree cover is only a problem when very thick. For the money, I think the ST Map is hard to beat.
