BowerBunch
I just installed MapSent S&D on my Windows XP. I have my Meridian attached properly and according to the Magellan website, I have the settings set right. However, when I try to upload to the GPS from MapSent, it "busies" the com port and then won't talk to it. The com port will stay busy until I reboot the machine. Has anybody gotten MapSend to work with XP and, if so, how did you do it? TIA Bowerbunch Quote Link to comment
+MO & GO
I have MapSend Topo loaded on XP and didn't have to do anything special. Haven't had any problems. GO Quote Link to comment
+LongDogs
I've got MapSend 1.00 (original 330 version) and it works find under XP Home. I upgraded to 1.10 using the free download patch from Magellan, and that still works fine too. (Both worked fine with my SporTrak, also. I'm not sure what the benefit of 1.10 over 1.00 is supposed to be...) Quote Link to comment
+Night Stalker
I had problems with downloading to my Sportrak the first time. Found that I had hooked up the cable to a port that had not been enabled. The second problem I had was a result of the software attempting to download faster then the port was able to handle. Had to change the speed to 4800 to make it work. Don't know it either of these is your problem, but might help to check. Lost? Keep Going. You're making good time anyway!! Quote Link to comment
