I am looking to buy my first GPS, and I've noticed a UK supplier offering refurbished 12's at a reasonable price. What are peoples opinions of these units?

Please note: I am a GPS and Geocaching newbie...

Good unit. A workhorse. Better reception than the Etrex. Dropped mine off the top of my car going 40mph, not a dent, still works great! Batteries live forever in these. Not the newest or fanciest, but one of the best.

You could not choose a better unit for geocaching. I suggest you rely on the map page when close and also carry a good comp***. The arrow on the gps comp*** page is not good when you close in, but the bearing given and your locaton on the map page are dead on
