Sorry for YET another post about this but here are the stats for these new units. You wont find these on the Magellan Website.

 

SporTrak Color has a high-resolution 16 color LCD display, a 3-axis electronic compass, barometer, 9 MB North American basemap and 23 MB for additional map downloads from MapSend CDs

• Includes 9MB North America database with interstate highways, state highways, major roads, parks, waterways, airports, cities & marine navigation aids such as buoys & obstructions.

• Built-in barometer checks barometric pressure

SporTrak Pro Marine features a 15 MB built-in marine specific map & 17 MB downloadable memory. Use with optional MapSend BlueNav software for enhanced marine details

 

SporTrak Pro Marine Features

• Includes worldwide 15MB mapping database from Navionics, complete with waterways, navigation aids, buoys, beacons, lights, fog signals, radio/radar stations and highly detailed coastline data. The built-in database also includes nationwide highways, interstates, major roads, parks and airports.

• 17MB of available memory for downloading enhanced marine data, cartography and additional geographic regions using Magellan MapSend software.

• 12-channel receiver, WAAS enabled*

• Built in quadrifilar helix antenna (no external antenna capability)

• Waterproof, floatable

• WAAS/EGNOS enabled

• Navigation data, such as range/bearing to a waypoint, speed, time to go, cross track error.

Sounding better and better. Hmmm... maybe a early birthday present (10 months early). icon_wink.gif as far as batteries go, I use rechargeable batteries, so that's not even a consideration. My record for number of caches found off of one set of charged batteries is 43. icon_biggrin.gif

Our supplier just received a few so I snagged one for myself. Should be in by Friday.

Arggghh! Scratch that. He was going to send me a Meridian -- Has no date for the SporTrak Color yet. Sorry.
