+myoptiks
I have an etrex Summit and I want to be able to download waypoints from my computer. I know I need to buy the data cable, but I can't find any information on what software I need to buy. Also, anyone have experience uploading the newer versions of operating systems software? Is it worth doing? Quote Link to comment
+AstrosFan
As far as the software to download waypoints to your GPS you do not need Garmin software. You can download EasyGPS for free, this is great for send waypoints to your GPS. You can get it at http://www.easygps.com Updating your software is good to get any improved features that Garmin may offer. Just follow the instructions and you should have no problems. +SpongeRob
Easy GPS is good and unless your Vista has Map support there's really no need for the garmin software at all. You can find a list of many different software packages (other than Easy GPS) on my website at www.keenpeople.com. I try to add as many as I can when I run across them. -- SpongeRob rwmech@keenpeople.com www.keenpeople.com WPWU826 Cache'n Retrievers Quote Link to comment
