I recently sold my GPSV to a - a - dare I say it - a Mac user. lol.

Anyway, I told him I'd try to see what everyone is using (Macwise) to transfer MapSource data to and from their gps using the inferior computer system. Sorry, I'm kidding!

Any help would be appreciated!

I've had great success using Mapsurce and Easy GPS on my mac with my GarminV. Things have been running pretty much trouble free since I swithed to the Iogear USB/Serial adapter.

I'm using VPC5 on my Tibook 550 with OSX 10.2. Surprisingly fast for an emulator. So it can be done. It can get a little pricey getting set up. VPC5 will set you back 100 bucks or so depending on where you get it. Another 60 for the adapter.

I've been fighting to interface my Mac with my eMap and can't believe it's still not working.

One friend suggested that I just dig up any old PC and use it for this task rather than my continued time and money dumping. I could only reply that I don't want more counter space covered and that I'm bigger than this problem... sounds like pride. Huh?!

I am still interested in getting this to work but I'm done forking out the bucks. What I have should/will work. I'm also still willing to get help (for the connection problems... not the pride problems).

Cheers.
