Guest lhocking
Is anyone using a waypoint database like PanTerra or Magellan's software? Any plus and minus points you would care to share would be appreciated. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Guest hikesouthwest
I tried the PanTerra software but found the waypoints were off by quite a bit. Even "added" waypoints did not show up correctly when comparing them to the "online feature" that the program offers. The lack of help files is also a problem with this software. It's price is good though - but it needs work. quote:Originally posted by lhocking:Is anyone using a waypoint database like PanTerra or Magellan's software? Guest topografix
Be sure you're setting the datum correctly - PanTerra and your GPS use WGS84 by default. Many of the online services use NAD27, so the numbers won't match. PanTerra converts between the two when viewing data online. Quote Link to comment
