Surveyor's location format

Recommended Posts

Guest Avatar

I need to convert a surveyor's location to one I can find with my GPS. Can anyone help me do this or tell me if the format is in a format that my GPS (Garmin eMap) will recognize? The 2 numbers are in a XXXXXXX.X format.

s for Ga. and translating into NAD83 or NAD27) have resulted in locations from the Atlantic Ocean to Quebec. The closest I have come up with is just north of Jacksonville, Fla! The location I'm trying to find is in the SE Atlanta area.

Sorry that didn't help. Knew it was too easy to find. I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, but have you called a surveyor to see how it is done. I also have a friend who was a draftsman for a firm that did cemetaries, he may have some experience with those. I'll contact him.
