2.32 update and Marine POI

I downloaded the legend 2.32 update and expected the built in Marine data base to be erased. Does anyone know if the built in Marine data base usually gets erased when you download an update from Garmin?

An update of the GPSR software will leave your maps or POI data alone. If you load maps, your factory marine POI will be overwritten. If you run the POI app from the garmin site, it will overwrite your maps. You can only store one or the other and neither should be overwritten by an update to the GPSR software. icon_smile.gif

Anyone else get scared sometimes that Garmin is already up to 2.32 for the Legend and 2.28 for the Venture? ;~) It's good to see that Garmin is keeping up on the updates... but there have been tons of them. At one point I updated my Venture three times in one week this summer.
