Guest nitefall Posted August 29, 2001 Share Posted August 29, 2001 I love the Garmin GPS76 but I have one question that is not even discussed in the manual, or on the website... If I hit the "Menu" button when I am recording a Waypoint I get the single option for "Averaging" I know that this will average the position over time, but what I want to know, is... How long should I let it average for to get a fairly accurate average? I am sure the answer is going to be something like "the longer, the better" but I was wondering if anybody know what Garmin recommends, (perhaps from another model that may include this feature, and a discussion of it in the manual) or what other manufacturers recommend.
