chilipadi
Hi all, My Legend has this weird problem lately. When I turn on the backlight, the LCD display goes blank! As in, all white! It comes back when I turn the backlight off. Anyone encountered this? I'm using s/w version 2.50 thanks. Quote Link to comment
+Pharisee
I'm using a Legend with the same firmware version but I've not encountered that problem. Mine works fine. John Wild Tupperware Hunter Quote Link to comment
chilipadi
so was mine... working fine, I mean. This little bug popped up over the weekend. Not sure what went wrong. Looks like I'm gonna have to check with Garmin. Quote Link to comment
pdumas
Not sure we have two legends one a year old and one just a few months old, I would send it back in to garmin. Quote Link to comment
+apersson850
Bad display connections is a problem that seems to haunt the entire eTrex series. When my Vista suffered fromt he flickering lines in the display, it quite often blanked out completely when I turned on the light. I think these two things are related. I got my Vista replaced for a new one, but after four months that one shows a new display problem. Sigh. Anders Quote Link to comment
+WVDan
Have you put fresh batteries in your GPS unit? I have a watch that when the battery gets week, it dose the same thing when the backlight is turned on. Quote Link to comment
chilipadi
guess what? my screen is alright again - no more blank screen with backlight switched on. The only thing i did was to leave it in my daypack which i bring around with me all the time. Maybe it got bumped and everything's fine again. Will see if a few more bumps will bring back the problem. Quote Link to comment
