Guest CaR_KiLLa
I was loading maps from the MapSource CD into my Legend and when selecting the maps it said that I had selected 6.5megs worth of mapdata. Not wanting to fill up all the memory in the Legend I stopped there and downloaded the maps to the GPS. However, while going through the main menu on the legend it said that I had only used 5% of memory. Is this in fact true and if so, thats some major compression to factor in when copying maps over. I like the compression but want to know which to actually beleive or is it maybe just the tracklog memory that is only at 5%. Thanks for you guys help, Quote Link to comment
Guest peter
The map memory is totally separate in Garmin GPSRs from memory used for routes, waypoints, tracklogs, etc. So you may as well fill up the entire 8 MB with maps from the CDROM. The memory fuel gauge only refers to the usage of the routes/waypoints/tracklog memory and has nothing to do with map memory. Quote Link to comment
