+Rubberhead Posted July 25, 2003 Share Posted July 25, 2003 I think your GPSmap 76S has the same menu structure as my GPSmap 162. If so, there is a several "countour" settings (Major, Medium, Minor,and Land Cover) under the "topo" tab on the "map" menu. Start by making sure these are set to "Auto". From the Map screen press menu once and make sure that your "declutter" is turned off. You'll know it's off if the menu option is "Declutter On". (This always seemed odd to me). Also change the "Detail" setting under the "General" tab to Most, then try more, etc. Lastly, try zooming in and see if they "turn on" at some point.
