+scammell
Have you used Garmin's WorldMap? I plan a trip to Egypt and would like to have a map in my GPS for some sense of location. I'll probably get it, as it is the only option for my 76s -- or is it? Thanks for any input. (And if you have a travel bug that wants to go to the great pyramids, we can probably work something out...) scammell Quote Link to comment
+apersson850
The Garmin World Map is about as detailed as the basemap in my Vista. However, it's more outdated than the basemap, at least around where I live. Anders Quote Link to comment

+scammell
Thanks, all of you. I don't see any difference between the two views, and I guess you're right, it's better than a blank screen! So I'm off to find a copy for cheap. This is a nice forum! scammell Quote Link to comment

+Hawk-eye
I found it marginal in Bolivia, Chile and Brazil ... darn near useless in China. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Co-founder of the "NC/VA GEO-HOG ASSOCIATION" ... when you absolutely have to find it first! I guess if you are in China, you're lost anyway, but it will still point out the direction towards home, right? Anders Quote Link to comment
