Does anyone have this CD, and what are all the options that I would have after I have purchased it, and loaded it to my computer and GPS 315. Let me know, so I can decide it I need it or not. Guest makaio Posted June 18, 2001 Share Posted June 18, 2001 According the the DataSend page on Magellan's website, it's a CD containing 500,000+ POI's (points of interest) which when uploaded to your unit will enhance the default database supplied with the unit. http://www.magellangps.com/products/datasend.htm There is also a FAQ page http://www.magellangps.com/customer/datasend_faq.htm It can be useful for travelling or locating a particular POI when in an unfamiliar area. For instance, have it show you nearby restaurants while on the highway, or nearby natural landmarks, etc. They can be useful when the need arises.
