+moonchi Posted June 24 Posted June 24 A friend and I did the GPS Adventure Maze in Flagstaff, AZ in May of 2024. There is no record of it in my stats. I was telling him and he can't find his either. I have done 3 total at Geowoodstocks, one in Owensboro, KY 2023, Flagstaff, AZ 2024 and Morgantown, WV 2025. My stats show only 2. AZ is missing. HLEP!!!! HOW DO I GET THIS CORRECTED?????? MOONCHI TIA Quote
Keystone Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I do not see where you logged a find on that Maze Event. I can only see your "Will Attend" log. Quote
+The A-Team Posted June 24 Posted June 24 In short, you didn't log it as Attended, so you'll have to do that. I did notice something a bit funny about the logging for that. It appears that the GPS Adventures Exhibits are treated just like an event and get the same code on the logging page, where the Attended log is forced to be the event date. This is fine for events, but the Exhibits are almost always open for several days. It would be annoying to attend one and not be able to log it for the actual day I was there, especially since these can help toward "busy days". Ideally, these should allow a range of dates on which they can be logged. 1 Quote

It didn't start out that way, if I'm not mistaken, but it changed at some point. The original maze was open in place for a few weeks at a time. Now it seems the newer homebrew mazes are only connected with mega events. I'm just glad I got to see some of Barney Smith's toilet seats at the last one in Texas, including the two I signed as hzoi. I was surprised at this year's GeoWoodstock that the maze was simply an exhibit about the history of geocaching. It was interesting but the name "GPS Adventure Maze" implies something more. 1 Quote

That looks similar to the one my wife and I visited at Turtle Bay Park (near Redding). I haven't been to any of the more recent ones to compare. But the one I attended 15 years ago had interactive activities as part of the walk-through exhibits, plus some outdoor temporary caches with loaner GPSr that had the coordinates of the temporary caches preloaded. 2 Quote

The original concept was designed to be set up for a month or longer; usually at s museum or some other educational spot. The current concept is designed to be set up for a weekend and easily transported. Quote
