stevesisti
I am aware that the 76S "compresses" a route when you save it as a backtrack. But if you just save the track alone, and then download to a mapping program, is there still compression that takes place where you would "lose" information, or is the track down-loaded in it's entirety. peter
When you 'Save' the tracklog and create one of the ten available saved tracks stored on the GPS then it will be compressed and lose the time/date stamp information. However, you can download the current tracklog directly to a mapping program without saving it first. In that case you get the full tracklog incl. time/date stamps without any compression.
