+brekkcaching123 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I'm looking for some opinions. What are your favorite types of hides? Looking for ideas for a trail of 3.5-5.0 caches! 1 Quote
+niraD Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Many of my favorites have been multi-stage caches, especially multi-stage puzzle caches that are designed to be completed by a group of people working together. 1 Quote
+Nite*Owls Posted June 17 Posted June 17 A trail of caches where you need a pole to get them down and back up is always fun and doable for most cachers. You could do some tree climbers too but I personally don't like heights so I'd probably have to bring my wife along for those lol. There's always the ladder option but that can get very tiring carrying that long distances! I enjoy the pole ones more anyway since they still require a bit of strategy while keeping my feet on the ground. You could also do ones that are up a tree and attached to a rope and pulley that you pull to get them down, I've always thought those were pretty cool! Another suggestion for a power trail would be to think about making the containers a little more creative like painting them, adding stickers, gluing things to them, etc. I did a power trail one time where each container had some simple neat design on a common container (like googly eyes and pipe cleaners to make the container look like an insect) and it just made finding them more exciting. And maybe use different containers for each hide instead of all of them being bison tubes, etc. Keeps it more interesting. Just some thoughts... 1 Quote
