+MidnighToker
I've been shopping around for the last few weeks for a GPS unit, and came across this over the weekend. Doesn't that price seem WAY too low?! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008DHST/002-8538072-0536055?v=glance&me=A363XKZVKSMVXW&st=electronics Quote Link to comment
+Tahoe Skier5000
Don't buy it. The GPS in the picture is a regular Sportrak. The sportrak marine looks like this ----------------------------------------------------------- Garmin Vista Using Opera 7.1 Quote Link to comment
+MidnighToker
Yeah I noticed that, but all of the description and specs are for the SporTrak Marine Pro....I wonder how they would handle that. I've been assuming that it was a typo. -Midnight Quote Link to comment
Bobthearch
Looks like a great price. If you're thinking of buying one, I wouldn't hesitate to get it from an Amazon.com associate. I've always been very pleased with purchases from Amazon, and most credit card companies guarantee online purchases. Keep in mind though that among the Magellans, the SportTrak line has "squooshy" buttons and a small screen compared to the Meridians. Still, for the price... Happy shopping, Bob Quote Link to comment
+Tahoe Skier5000
Well GPSCity is one of the cheaper stores out there, and they are going for $239 on sale. Something seems way off on the amazon.com ad. ----------------------------------------------------------- Garmin Vista Using Opera 7.1 Quote Link to comment
Bobthearch
You can probably contact customer service at Sports-R-Us to confirm the price and model. That's what I would do... You can always send it back if they're not shipping the advertised item. -Bobthearch Quote Link to comment
+E = Mc2
I recently picked up 3 SporTrak Pro's from Wal-Mart for $157 each. Many Wal-Mart stores (not the Supercenters) have marked all their Magellan products down. I also got a eTrex camo for $60, and they had the regular SporTrak for less than $100. Alas, they're selling awful fast, and I can't find anymore. Quote Link to comment

I knew that I'd heard that somewhere. I actually had an arguement with the "Asst Mgr." the other day about that. He insisted that he scanned the price and it was coming up as $263....I just happened to notice that the scanner had a BIG sign on it that said "DO NOT USE", but he swore that it was working....maybe I stop in again tonight and fight with someon new Quote Link to comment
Bender
I picked up my sport trak pro last week from a supercenter for less than $157. Bender Searching, for the lost Xanadu Quote Link to comment
