+Dale_and_Acre Posted June 12 Posted June 12 My wife and I are working on our Jasmer challenge and are trying to improve our strategy. We're thinking we want to work on all four loops at once so that we don't skip an oldie when we're nearby just because it wasn't the oldie we were looking for. So far, I've had some success in building lists that have the 4 closest caches for each month/year combo that we still need by downloading caches with GSAK based on the month/year combos I need to fill, then using the resulting csv file to populate a custom build Excel workbook that filters them by distance from our home location and gives me the four closest caches. The problem with this is that it is quite labor intensive and I can really only find time to do it once or twice a year. What I'm looking for is a tool (GSAK, project GC, c:geo, etc) that takes an input of my finds and my location and returns a list of the 4 closest caches for each month/year that I still need. Ideally a process that can be handled on my phone or quickly on a laptop rather than the several hours of working and reworking that I'm doing currently. 1 Quote
Keystone Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Just a note that any solutions to OP's question must involve functionality provided either by Geocaching.com or by authorized third party API partners like GSAK or project-gc.com. 1 2 Quote
+JL_HSTRE Posted June 15 Posted June 15 It's not as targeted as you want, but it you put all active caches from 2000-2003? in a bookmark list you might end up with a few oldies you don't need (not really a bad thing - get em before they're gone) but you won't miss any. Quote
