+OusKonNé & Cétyla Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Hi Everyone, Am I the only one who no longer receives notifications when an Adventure Lab is published? Samsung Galaxy S25 Android 15 Regards! Quote
+ErewashPaddler Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I've not had them for quite a while now - I can't see anything in the settings Quote

+barefootguru Posted June 13 Posted June 13 I'm failing to find it in the settings too, despite having located it before. Can you go through the steps please @HHL? Quote

+The A-Team Posted June 13 Posted June 13 That's the settings to allow the app to send notifications to your phone, but it doesn't do any good if the app doesn't even try to send the notification. I've had occasions in the past where a new Adventure was made public near me and the app didn't send the notification, but I then received some at a later date for other Adventures. I hadn't made any changes to my phone's notification settings in between, and I expect that the OP hasn't either. The app simply doesn't send the notification sometimes. 1 Quote

I haven't gotten any in a long time, as no new ones are being published and I'm getting logged off constantly from the app. 1 Quote

The only way I find ALs is by seeing an "Adventure Lab Bonus Cache", but at that point, I log in and discover there are a buhzillion new ALs around here. Give or take. It's been three years since the last new AL in my region, but in April there were a couple created in Manly on the northern side of Sydney harbour that were close enough to set off the notification. That's about 30km south of here as the crow flies, so just within 20 miles I guess, but some years back I remember a lackey saying the AL notifications aren't centred on your home location but (I think) where you were when you last used the app. Quote
+dagger38 Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Is there any way to set a distance for these notifications? If i get them, it's often more then 30 Km from my home??? Quote

No. Check the December 14th 2021 post from about the distance used. https://forums.geocaching.com/GC/index.php?/topic/366016-adventure-lab-has-messages/ Quote

No, definitely not. I'm only opening it if I want to check for ALs in the area - but have already received notifications of new ALs on other days. Quote
