Can someone please help me with GSAK?

Hi, I have recently returned to Geocaching after a hiatus, and I need some help with GSAK.  Basically, I want to change my password, as Google Password Manager thinks its too weak.  the problem is that since I last used GSAK, I have changed email address, and the one that the GSAK program has on file is no longer valid, so I can't receive the form to reset my password.  I think that if I try to close my GSAK account, I'll do something stupid.

Advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

What password? There is no "GSAK account".

Get over to https://gsak.net/board

There you eventually need an account if you need to ask questions.

If you have an old version of GSAK you might need to read about the latest developments to update to the latest version.

The only password for GSAK is when you connect to Groundspeak, to allow GSAK to communicate with Groundspeak...

And that is your Groundspeak username and password.

It may have been so long ago that this cacher gave up the hobby, that GSAK was still pay-to-play software!  Clyde probably netted about a penny an hour for his work, but it did come at a price back in the day.

Best money I ever spent on this hobby.

GSAK is distributed at no charge now.  It's also undergone many changes since you last saw it, many due to changes in the Geocaching API, though the basic functions are all still the same.

Head to https://gsak.net and download a fresh copy of the latest version...

Thanks to all who took the time to reply.  I obviously meant to change my password on the community board.  Any advice there?

If you hadn't changed your email addres, you could have used the  "request new password" option.

However, that won't work as it will send an email to your old address.

I would look for some way to contact the Admin.  Explain the situation and ask for help.

Otherwise, just create a new account.
