Katradouz Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Hi! I have a question I can't find the answer to. I wanted to get a "log my dog" trackable, but it seems like I can't get one, I am in northern Sweden, and the shop at Geocaching says the items can't be shipped to my location. I tried to France as well, but I get the same error message. I don't have any shop in Sweden where I can get one. I can only get "travel bugs". So, can I use a "travel bug" to achieve the same as a "log my dog"? I understood that with a "log my dog" you got a special page for your dog, which is what I wanted. Can a travel bug number be used for this, and if so, can you help me find how to? That would be very much appreciated. Thanks a lot to everyone who can help! Quote

With an activated Travel Bug, you get a description page and it's own photo gallery. I don't know if the Log My Dog tags had anything different. You can use the tag as is, in some way. But you may instead have the Tracking Code and other info inscribed onto an actual pet tag. Pet stores sometimes have engraving machines. You could instead buy an embroidered Tracking Code, or a custom collar or harness with the code on it. And if there is visible text like "Log Me!" or "I'm Trackable!", even better. 1 1 Quote

I just wanted to know if there was any difference between a standard travel bug and a log my dog :-) Quote
+The A-Team Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Looking at some of the Log My Dog tags that I've discovered over the years, I don't see anything functionally different about them. The only difference between them and any other trackable is the physical design. Like kunarion suggested, you could get any trackable and have the tracking code engraved into your own tag. 1 1 Quote
