Message center ignores numbers at the beginning of a message

If I am sending answers to a virtual or earthcache, or just want to include numbered items in my message, the message center ignores the number at the beginning.

They do show on the iOS app and the Android app, but not on the website.  It is the same issue whether the recipient is a PM or Basic.

I'm not seeing this - recently (end of April) sent answers to an earthcache with a numbered list of answers and it looks correct in both the app and the website.  Your message center message to me also came through just fine on both platforms (website and app).

 

Are you composing the message in the app, or using the website to write out your answers?  App Version?

I've seen that too, and I don't use "the app", just the website version for messages.

 

Add this to the old bug report where the message-to-email interface (or was it vice versa?) would remove your cheery signoff (Cheers, VP), making your message sound more curt than intended.  I stopped using that interface, so I don't know if they ever fixed that.  (Things that don't work, you tend to avoid using.)
