Gifting premium membership currently unavailable

Is there any sense of when gifting premium membership will be available again?  I would like to gift my granddaughter who lives overseas but can’t currently. Thanks for helping gramps.

Groundspeak could offer to take a phone call with a credit card, and do it manually, as a temporary (?) measure.

My granddaughter doesn’t cache a lot but when she gets to a new area she likes to hunt. The membership I gave her last year has expired. Guess I will wait a couple weeks to see what shows up.

I found the link you need (I think):

GS Home page, scroll to bottom;

click USA/Canada Shop;

then on that page, click the three bars in upper left;

click Gifts and Swag;

then click Gift Certificates;

The first one on that page was premium gift.

Just used the gift card alternative... This is horrible! My husband and I have been gifting memberships regularly and it was such an easy process. Now you need to buy a gift card, and worse, it's a physical gift card??? At the very least, make it electronic with instantly redeemable code. This time I had to pay an additional 5$ for the most basic shipping, and our geocaching friend will receive the card god knows when, praying for no mail service strike... I'm also not sure what information our virtual friend will receive... Not necessarily thrilled to share my home address and whatnot, if there is a receipt with the gift card... Anyway, I hope the old way will come back soon...

Is there any update on when or if this is going to be made available as I would like to Gift Premium Membership to a couple of friends. As it is available in the US/Canada online shop is there any reason we can't buy membership from there and gift to a fellow European Geocacher even if we are in Europe?
