+Knight_404 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I sincerely appreciate Geocahing teams continuous efforts to improve the Geocaching app. However, after the recent iOS app update (version: [9.73.0), I noticed that the text selection functionality within log entries has been disabled. This change has significantly impacted my user experience, and I kindly request your team to reconsider restoring this feature. Why is this important? Previously, the ability to select and copy text from logs was essential for two key scenarios: Translation Needs: As a non-native English speaker, I frequently copy log text into translation tools to fully understand the content. Link Accessibility: Many logs contain helpful links (e.g., historical references, additional clues). Without copy-paste capability, manually typing URLs is error-prone and time-consuming. While this may seem like a minor feature, text selection greatly enhances accessibility for international users and those interacting with complex log information. I respectfully suggest either: Re-enabling text selection by default in log entries, or Adding a toggle option in Settings > Accessibility to allow text copying. The log page where text cannot be selected/copied (long-press on text does not trigger selection). In previous versions, you could select text to translate or copy 3 Quote
