CITO in conjunction with a Community Day event?

Can I host a CITO along with my Community Day event?  I'd like to host a CITO after the end of our Community Day event to pick up the park we are holding the event in but for some reason I thought I heard somewhere that you can't have multiple types of events on the same day.  I can't find that restriction anywhere on geocaching.com so I wonder if someone is able to confirm this or not?  Thanks!

Do you mean combining a CITO Event with a Community Celebration Event?  If so, then generally the answer is "no," if the events are close to each other in time and/or distance.

According to the official guidelines:

If desired, you are permitted to host a geocaching social event before or after a CITO event, if the CITO is the primary event.

  • This means the CITO event is the main activity, and the social event happens before or after the CITO (but not both).
  • CITO events to clean up from social events (including Mega- and Giga-Events) are not permitted.
