Us 5 Camp
3.02 seems to have solved the problem I had with 3.01 beta. "Never have a philosophy which supports a lack of courage..." Quote Link to comment
+slinger91
why are they calling it "beta"? I see 2.01, and than 3.02 beta right below it. which one should i have? "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night." Quote Link to comment
+apersson850
By tradition: "Alpha" is the first working releases, that are internal to the company. "Beta" are non-final versions that are spread to certain testers outside the company, in this particular case to everyone who dares. "Official" is a release that's supported by tech support departement and which has passed some kind of internal quality approval. A typical beta thing is the stack overflow that caused the shutdown of the 76S, when more than 50 waypoints were used in a route. Such things are less likely to happen in a more thoroughly tested official release. So, if you like the new features introduced in a beta version, try it. If you don't care about what they changed, wait for an official release. Anders Quote Link to comment
+slinger91
Thanks Anders that clears it up. And I think I'll wait for the "official release". "If I knew how thirsty I was going to be this morning, I would have drank more last night." Quote Link to comment
