+holu99 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Now I have the second time with in the last days the problem, that the adventure lab app is not working correctly anymore: I cannot open a lab. The button for log-out is not working; - Searching in the area on the map (click on buttom has no results) - One already selected lab will not open, when I click on the label of it - additional also the button for logout is not working A stopping of the app in the andriod-settings doesn't help. Only the deinstallation and reinstallation helps. But then all my unlocked lab-stations are lost... Did someone has already the same or similar problem ? Additional information: I open mostly labs by the C-geo-App, but also this is not working. Thanks for some help Quote

Keystone Posted April 15 Posted April 15 @holu99, please try opening the Adventure Lab app independently, instead of using an unauthorized third party app to launch the Adventure. 2 Quote
+holu99 Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 This also happens, when I work without Cgeo. The reaction on buttons (as described above, including logout) is not working. Quote
+holu99 Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 (edited) I closed the app both via Android settings (force stop) and delete the screen. But there was no change in the behavior, when i open the app again. I cannot logout or do something else. Or how else can I stop the app without deinstallation ? Following actions are possible: - klick on the map on the symbol, then the small headline of the adventure occurs, but a click on this has no effect - I can click on Discover and profile, which changed to the dialogs - I can also open the setiing dialog, but a click on logout is not working I can open the filter page and tick the check-boxes (also the reset-button is working and deletes all check-boxes). But the apply-button is not working. It is really crazy Edited April 15 by holu99 Quote

I am not seeing any issues on my adventure lab app regarding opening up the adventure and logging out. I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with your app! That's so frustrating. +holu99 Posted April 15 Author Posted April 15 Maybe there is a relation to the number of labs, which was indicated on the map (green pins). Maybe there is a maximum number of these pins, which blocks the further proceeding of the app. e.g. Currently in Stuttgart/Germany is a lab Geo-Art created with a lot of labs within at short range. This was the last, which I did yesterday, before it was blocked today. This looks nice on the map, but maybe there is some overflow inside the data, which then blocks e.g. opening the adventure. I am only guessing and try to find the reason of this behaviour. Quote
+Mausebiber Posted April 15 Posted April 15 (edited) I had a similar problem and the reason was a non-working Internet. After a reboot, everything was working correctly. Edited April 15 by Mausebiber Quote

I tried this last week and also this time. The internet was always available (Wifi, but I tried it also outside with mobile data). Also a reboot of the mobile phone doesn't helped in my case. Maybe it was blocked once, when there was no internet (I am not sure about it), but then there was no possiblity to recover this blocking. Last week and also now today I deinstalled the app and installed it again. Now it is working again. But this cannot be the solution for such a problem. All my unlocked lab-stations, which were not yet answered are now lost after the reinstallation. I never had such problem with another app. Quote

It seems that one or more AdLabs do contain nonprintable chars within their names and/or descriptions. Hans Edited April 15 by HHL 1 Quote

After seeing this thread I checked again and it was still not working until I uninstalled and reinstalled. Quote
+Teamtinda Posted Wednesday at 01:15 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:15 AM I’m having exactly the same problem. Via Cachly, I go to open an AdLab in the AdLab app and it won’t let me open a set of WPs. I guess I’ll have to reinstall etc. Quote
+DieMudpaws Posted Thursday at 07:23 AM Posted Thursday at 07:23 AM I have the same problem. I also cannot open the Labcaches and also the log-out is not working. +holu99 Posted Thursday at 01:16 PM Author Posted Thursday at 01:16 PM It's seems, that I am not alone with such problems. I assume, that this is a SW-bug in the app. How this problem will be forwarded to the developer ot the app, that they can care about it ? Quote

Start by posting the brand/model of phone and the version of Android OS, version of AL App and the same info about (approved) 3rd-party Apps if you are opening AL from other Apps. And what steps cause the problem. And what you tried to fix it. 1 Quote
+Dirkverschuren Posted Thursday at 03:01 PM Posted Thursday at 03:01 PM (edited) Yep, same problem. Since last weekend. Can't open adventures. From third party apps, as well from the original. Map is visible, button to load adventures is there, you can press is, but nothing happens. The three buttons on the bottom work. But I can't play. Samsung A52 Android 14 Adv. +holu99 Posted Thursday at 03:04 PM Author Posted Thursday at 03:04 PM (edited) Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Android version 14 (today I got an update, I don't know what was before) App-Version: 1.45.0 C-Geo: 2025.04.02 (but I don't know if there is a dependency) It happens on Tuesday (15.04.2025) morning and also Friday morning (11.04.2025) I don't kow excaclty what I did before I used the Lab-App. (Failure-Description and behaviour described above) But the only Deinstallation and Reinstallation of the app solved this issue. Or do you think it's in fact due to the massive data required to load maps packed full of AL icons? ... in which case, maybe start in a less dense area, if any, and see how it goes... I hardly touch the AL App for a host of reasons, but I'm just curious if I could duplicate the effect. Edited Thursday at 03:14 PM by kunarion Quote

+holu99 Posted Friday at 12:07 PM Author Posted Friday at 12:07 PM Today It is again blocked, when I want to use it. (Last Re-Installation was last Tuesday 18.4.2025 I only start the app from the state, i left it yesterday and nothing happens. There was no dependency to c-geo, because I have with intention not used it in combination... Now I installed the version 1.45.1 Quote
