+SurdiVisio Posted April 7 Posted April 7 It may be a minor issue, however this also happens to unexpected SOUVENIRS. We end up having to email GCHQ to delete these unwanted souviners to keep our data honest. Do we need to do this for erroneously collected treasures? If I accidently log a find instead of my intended DNF (or Write Note) against a geocache or event, I may get one of the new TREASURES activiated as completed. I corrected my entry via a 3rd party app (e.g. Cachly) or via the website (Edit Log), so its now a DNF. However the unwanted treasure is still "activated against the original cache that I definitely didn't find". While I made more finds last month (April 2025) to re-qualify for this "GPS Unit" (Geocaching Origins), this particular treasure is still listed as completed by the "DNF'ed" geocache. I'm not asking for action on my unwanted treasure, rather sharing this feedback so that future issues can be neatly addressed. Quote
+SurdiVisio Posted April 7 Author Posted April 7 (edited) thanks Max and 99 I figured that this is a bug report and this sub-forum didn't have anything listed. Thanks for showing me the other thread in "General geocaching topics" Edited April 7 by SurdiVisio Quote
