+mrp Posted June 29, 2002 Share Posted June 29, 2002 ExpertGPS is fetching it's maps from terraserver.microsoft.com, and it uses whatever terraserver uses. It appears that it switches to different scale topo maps based on the scale of the display. At the 500 and 250 ft scales (when using "standard" units.) It appears that the maps displayed are indeed the 7.5 minute USGS maps, although the actual scale will depend on your monitor. Zoom out to the 10 miles scale, and it appears that the maps used are significantly larger scale. -- Mitch Quote Link to comment
