Guest peter Posted March 19, 2001 Share Posted March 19, 2001 You need to set the interface to use the Garmin/Garmin communication protocol (rather than NMEA). Then just connect the GPS, click on the GPS item on the SA7 menu bar and first 'Initialize' your GPS, again selecting Garmin protocol. Once you've done that you get some new menu choices including 'Upload Directions to GPS.' This will take your calculated SA7 route and transfer it to your III (or other Garmin GPS).
