+Hyte Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) On the new logging UI, profile photos that aren't square are being scaled improperly. Example is attached. As shown, the app does cropping/scaling properly for the profile photo view, but the cropping is done improperly for the logging view (leading to gross white bars). This seems pretty recurrent across many people's profile photos. This issue didn't seem to exist when profile photos were squares in the logging view. Version 9.72.0 Edited March 19 by Hyte Quote

Version 9.72.0 What are the dimensions of your Profile Photo as uploaded? It looks like it's a horizontal rectangle, and it also looks like if you were ever so slightly more centered in that rectangle, your icon would look even better across all 3 cropped icons (assuming you could live with the white bars above and below in the smallest icon). And what happens to that logging icon if the original photo is a tall rectangle instead... do you get white bars left and right? My avatar is a square image, the minimum dimensions that the Profile requires, and as large in its frame as possible. There's nowhere for my photo to be "cropped", so my photo is pretty much an eyeball in the round icons. So I was asking about the dimensions to see what I could do to fix mine, but it may be useful to anyone who wants a nicer Avatar across the various shapes and sizes. But I also know the App's crop method could change at any time (yeah, if they were all squares, that could simplify things). Plus we need to go confirm that AL as well as iOS crops are all OK.
