Streets & Trips 2001 Question

I have this program and for what it is worth, I think it has much more detail than Street Atlas 8.0. Streets and Trips lists parks that just cant be found in Street Atlas. Anyway, my question is this....I seem to be having problems entering my Lat/Long numbers in Streets and Trips. I hit FIND and then select the LAT/LONG tab, but when I enter my numbers it always rejects them. It seems to work if I enter the numbers using the NAD 27 feature on the caches website. Is there a special way to enter the coords the right way? Thanks for all of your help! You people are great!

vide the Minutes by 60, to get your decimal, then add the result to the Degrees number, and there you go. You can paste this to your S&T, and it should work. Be sure to put the (-) sign in front of the longitude, though. This is a simple matter of multiplying the whole result by -1, so no problem.

Hope this helps. S&T does hve some great detail, but if you are planning on doing any hiking, I recommend a Topo software package. I really liked the S&T trip routing function, too. Made it easy when I was doing 8-12 caches in a single trip. Those were the days. icon_smile.gif
