Bug. Wherigo "Reverse Cache" cartridge not working anymore

Recommended Posts

iOS 18.3.1

Wherigo 1.5.9

Cartridge "Reverse Cache - Beta"

Problem description. In order to use the cartridge you have to enter three lines of code such as
75A1B5
37CD09
9E19F1

The input is not recognised and everything after the first letter is truncated resulting in this. Hence the cartridge cannot be played. To me it seems it was working until this new Wherigo release.

As far as I know, waldmeister's Wherigo implementation of reverse geocache never accepted letters in the triple code to be input.

Where did you see such a code (which GC code)? Are you sure this isn't a puzzle you have to solve before you input it in the cartridge?

I’m having the same problem with those codes (for a Reverse Cache in Malta).

The GC code is GC842DA

That cache requires you to substitute numbers for the letters. See the description:

At the posted co-ordinates you need to answer the following questions:-

A = Plaque below right hand, first line, number of letters in the 1st word.

B = Plaque below right hand, fifth line, number of letters in the 3rd word.

C = Plaque below right hand, number of letters in the last word on plaque.

D = Plaque below left hand, number of letters on 5th line, minus the number of letters on the 4th line.

E = Plaque below left hand, third line, number of letters in 2nd word.

F = By the foot of 'Lady of Malta' bronze there is the foundry's stamp. Add the number of lines of the inscription to the number of letters in the last word.
