Re-listing archived geocaches in the same location

Hi all...looking for folks opinion on reviving a bunch of my geocaches that I recently archived. I've asked the original reviewer if they can unarchive them and they are unable to do so which is fair enough, I'm aware of the rules but thought I'd asked them anyway. The advice given was to create new listings for them but there's one thing that's putting me off doing that and that is the previous finders being annoyed at the prospect of having to go and find them all over again. I can picture it now...suddenly a bunch of green icons appear on their map which they have found not that long ago - I feel their pain and I get their annoyance. What should I do? Go ahead and re-list and be prepared for some criticism or just put it down to experience, a bad decision to archive and then move on by placing completely new caches in totally different locations? Really interested in what other cachers would do in this situation. Thanks for reading.

One thing to keep in mind is the cache permanence guideline.  Caches are intended to remain in place for the long term.  The minimum expectation is three months.

The first of your archived cache pages that I looked at was published on February 4th and archived by you on February 12th.  I would not publish a new cache page at the same or a nearby location for your account or any related account until May 4th.  That's the three-month anniversary of the original publication date.

Thanks Keystone. I wasn't aware of that guideline but in that case if I (or someone else on my behalf) do re-list them I'll leave it until well after that date, assuming another CO doesn't put one there or nearby.

Your decision to hide a bunch of caches, archive them a couple weeks later, apparently delete the Archive logs, and now a month after archival want to republish those archived hides again raises a lot of questions in my mind about what's really going on. Maybe being a CO isn't for you, at least not right now.

JL_HSTRE nothing sinister or unusual going on. Just a huge lack of time due to other sudden commitments. I thought archiving them would be the cleaner approach rather than leaving them out there. In hindsight I clearly made a very hasty decision and on reflection maybe adoption would have been a better choice.

Or just disable them for a month until you have time for maintenance.

So you collected the caches from their locations while you were archiving them?
